Beer and blues in the high sierra!
Outdoors among the pines and showcasing 70 of the best microbreweries in the country and top blues performers – this is Mammoth’s signature event!
Mammoth Lakes, California is a beautiful mountain resort located near Yosemite National Park – the perfect place to spend a “blues and brews” weekend.
Mammoth Brewing Company – Our Proud Sponsor – Welcomes Everyone to Mammoth Lakes! Once again, we are proud to host a fantastic lineup of blues performers and over 70 of the top breweries in the country. This event has gained a reputation for being one of the best “blue and brews” festivals around and is held in the most beautiful venue in the world – Mammoth Lakes, California and the Eastern High Sierra! The Mammoth Festival of Beers and Bluespalooza was started 15 years ago by Sam Walker in the parking lot of Whiskey Creek with just ten breweries and a handful of beer lovers. With BBQ ribs on the grill and a local garage band playing from the roof of the restaurant, it was a fun beginning! The idea behind the event was simple – have some fun and introduce Mammoth to the joys of handcrafted beers. The second year we threw in some real blues bands and a lot more breweries and we’ve never looked back. From these humble beginnings, the festival is now recognized as one of the best beer and blues festivals in the United States. FUN has always been, and continues to be, our top priority!
70 MICROBREWERIES?!! That’s right! We’re expecting more than 70 microbreweries to participate in our 2010 event! And, if you attended this year’s event, we WERE SOLD OUT of the Grand Tasting! For 2010, don’t wait to purchase your tickets! Tickets on sale November 1, 2009.
The Grand Tasting takes place Saturday, August 7, 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm with unlimited tasting from more than 70 of the country’s best microbreweries.
