The craft beer community descended on Cooperstown, New York this past weekend for Brewery Ommegang’s annual Belgium Comes to Cooperstown festival. Now in its eleventh year, this Belgian-inspired beer event is revered as one of the best in the country.
New York City Beer rocks. Sometimes, when you are in the vortex of your home-city’s beer community you take all of the hard work, inventiveness, and sheer brilliance for granted. After all, its hard to jump for joy and cheerlead for a brew that you’ve drank a dozen times before.
Along with the Great American Beer Festival, Extreme Beer Fest, and Belgium Comes to Cooperstown, Savor is heralded as one of America’s premier beer events and one that draws both brewers and patrons from coast to coast. This year, Savor made its way north from Washington, D.C. to New York City. But geography wasn’t the only change at this year’s festival.
